Contessa (TV series)is a 2018 Philippine television drama series to be broadcast by GMA Network. Directed by Albert Langitan, it stars Glaiza de Castro in the title role. It premiered on March 19, 2018 on the network’s Afternoon Prime line-up replacing Ika-6 na Utos and worldwide on GMA Pinoy TV.[2]The series serves as Geoff Eigenmann’s comeback series in GMA Network after two years. The series is loosely based on Alexandre Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo and ABS-CBN’s Wildflower. Bea who gets accused and imprisoned for a crime she did not commit, is determined to seek revenge on the people who took everything and everyone she loved away from her. She claims a new identity as Contessa and will seek for redemption and justice.
